This artist loves fun souvenirs, flea market finds and ethnic bits and pieces. At home she combines colourful Babushka dolls with Chinese lucky dragons, and cuckoo clocks with African masks. Her illustrations are full of fairies, Bambis and butterflies, toadstools and fantastic flowers. These arrangements are almost an expression of her philosophy life: not taking yourself too seriously, daring to break convention, playing with aesthetic rules and creating your own colourful world in short, dare to do those things that bring you joy! Eva Maria Nitsche likes an extravagant, happy aesthetic, combining colours and forms, and experimenting with trends and traditions. Everything is permitted, as long as it combines to create her unmistakable style.
